There are a few plant-based kitchen essentials that will make your life so much easier.

When we first started eating plant-based or healthy vegan, I realized there are a few must-have tools.

No one wants to stand in the kitchen all day long chopping or have chunks in their smoothies.

Today I’m sharing what I think is essential for any plant-based kitchen.

7 Plant-Based Kitchen Essentials

So what are these must-have items to make your life easier while eating plant-based?

A High-Speed Blender

If you were to only get one item, this would be it.

Having a high-speed blender will allow you to create delicious oil-free plant-based dressings and sauces in just seconds.

It really cuts down on the number of processed foods you buy and helps you to make your own.

Not to mention it’s perfect for those breakfast smoothies filled with greens.

High-speed blenders are expensive but we have had this Nutribullet for quite some time and it’s doing an amazing job.

If you have the money for a nicer blender, I would recommend a Vitamix or a Blendtec.

Healthy Non-Stick Pans

Because plant-based cooking involves no oil, it’s essential to have a good non-stick pan.

Most non-stick pans contained horrible chemicals such as Teflon but now they are making healthier cookware.

You also want to look for other ceramic pots and pans or choose stainless steel.

A well-seasoned cast-iron skillet would also work but it’s hard to get a good seasoning on them when you are not cooking with fats or oils.

Eating plant-based can involve a lot of dry goods like beans, legumes, and nuts.

You will also need a place to store your prepared sauces and dressings in the fridge. Making these dressings ahead of time allows you to create quick weeknight plant-based dinners.

I always try to buy organic but sometimes it’s not possible. Having a way to wash your vegetables is so important.

What Other Plant-Based Items do I have?

I like to keep pretty bowls or baskets on the counter with fresh fruits because it helps the kids eat them more when they sit out.

Little mason jars are also good for dressings and homemade sauces.
